Riikka is currently head of Nokia’s Corporate & Securities Law team, responsible for a number of corporate and securities law related matters, such as those related to public disclosures, corporate governance, securities law filings and equity plans. She also acts as the Secretary to the Nokia Board of Directors and the Nokia Leadership Team.
Born in Kuopio, Finland, in 1975, Riikka has law degrees from Helsinki University and New York University. She joined Nokia in 1999 and has worked in a number of roles, including as Corporate Legal Counsel at Nokia’s head office and as Senior Legal Counsel with responsibility for sales and marketing related legal matters across the Nordics and Eastern Europe. Before her current role, Riikka was responsible for Nokia’s legal issues across the majority of sub-Saharan Africa and based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Riikka has also worked in legal practices in Helsinki, St. Petersburg and New York, where she advised on M&A and financing transactions as well as securities law issues.
Riikka is married, with one daughter. In her free time, Riikka enjoys downhill skiing, playing tennis and spending time with her family and friends.
