Summary
Nokia Siemens Networks employs more than 400 people in Belgium. We have offices in Diegem, Herentals and Huizingen, supporting both the Belgian and the African market.
Our local organization focuses on creating end-to-end solutions and delivering services in turnkey projects for customers such as ASTRID, Base, Belgacom Group, Belgian Railways (NMBS/SNCB), Mobistar, Telenet, Thalys, VOO and many others.
For example, we enabled Belgacom to launch digital television (IPTV). We also delivered core network and integration services for Proximus, delivered the GSM-R network for the Belgian Railways, supplied and maintain the DWDM transport network for Belgacom International Carrier Services and provide transmission and cable network components for Telenet and VOO.
Beside the Belgian market, there is also a strong focus on Africa. Our sales team looks after the operators in West and East Africa, while the service organization executes projects in West, East, Central and North Africa. With more than 20 years of experience, the Nokia Siemens Networks team in Belgium is one of the leaders in the mobile and fixed network business in West and East Africa with tailor made solutions on technical, project execution and financing level.
In addition to our comprehensive portfolio of hardware solutions, we have a large services organization that serves operators in Belgium and Western Europe, as well as selected operators in Africa and the Middle East.
