Thomas Jul
Head of West Europe Region, Nokia Siemens Networks
- Appointed in July 2011 to lead all operations of Nokia Siemens Networks in West Europe Region
- Formerly Head of Global Customer Business Team, Deutsche Telekom
- Has also served as the Head of Nordic Customer and Market Operations during the formation of Nokia Siemens Networks
Thomas Jul assumed the responsibility of the head of West Europe region in July 2011. He has almost 20 years of extensive experience in the communications industry. He excels in customer relationships, business management and leadership. Thomas started his career with military communication systems in a Danish company named Systematic Software Engineering. He joined Nokia in March, 1998 and since then, has held various roles in the company. Soon, he became the Account Director for SONOFON in Denmark.
He moved on to lead the business development activities within Nokia Wireless Transmission globally in 2001. He expanded the business to include a broader transport portfolio and two years later, assumed the role of General Manager for the same business.
After the company reorganization, he took over as the Head of Customer and Market Operations, subregion Nordic and in parallel, assumed the role of the Country Director of Nokia Siemens Networks in Denmark.
During his subsequent stint as the Head of Global Customer Business Team for Deutsche Telekom, he ensured that Nokia Siemens Networks expanded its global innovative strength and service capability to efficiently address specific customer needs. He was also successful in establishing collaboration between Deutsche Telekom and Nokia Siemens Networks for strengthening LTE business.
Thomas was born in 1967 in Denmark. He received a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from the University of Aalborg. He also pursued several management certificates from Harvard Business School, Henley Management College and London Business School.
He is married with three children. To unwind, he likes listening to music, cycling and spending time with his family.
