Biography
In his professional career spanning 10 years in the telecommunications industry, Jürgen has held various roles in Product Management, Marketing, Strategy and global General Management functions. Known to be a steadfast and passionate leader, with a hands-on management style, Jürgen has a deep understanding of the telecom industry and is highly committed to customer satisfaction. He is a proven leader with a record of driving growth and developing great teams.
Jürgen is the head of the newly formed Business Solutions Business Unit at Nokia Siemens Networks. In this role he is responsible for Nokia Siemens Networks’ Business Solutions portfolio and related delivery activities in all regions. As a member of Nokia Siemens Networks’ Global Executive Board, Jürgen reports directly to the company’s CEO, Rajeev Suri.
Jürgen previously headed the Converged Core business at Nokia Siemens Networks, where he was responsible for Nokia Siemens Networks’ core networks solution portfolio on a global basis, driving fixed and mobile IP voice transformation, mobile Internet connectivity, and making Nokia Siemens Networks the number one in subscriber-centric network solutions. Prior to that, his most recent positions were Head of Integration Planning of Nokia Siemens Networks and Head of Strategy of Siemens Communications.
He joined Siemens in 1995 and held several senior positions in Management Consulting and in Product Management, Marketing and Strategy at Siemens Communications.
Jürgen was born in 1968, in Munich, Germany, and holds a degree in electrical engineering from the Technische Universität München (Technical University of Munich). In his spare time Jürgen enjoys sports, music and spending time with his family. Based in Munich, he is married and has one child.
