Biography
During his career spanning 14 years in the technology and telecommunications sectors, Rohit has held various roles in engineering, sales, services and general management across various geographic locations, and is recognized across the industry for his outstanding contribution.
Rohit was appointed the Head of Energy Solutions at Nokia Siemens Networks in September 2009. In this role, he and his team engage with key customers and Nokia Siemens Networks teams globally to understand the challenges in energy efficiency and customers’ aspirations to build sustainable green future. Tailoring most suitable energy solutions while generating green profitable business for the customers is high on his agenda.
He started his career in 1995 as a Design Engineer at Siemens Communications, where he went on to become the Project Manager for Turnkey Solutions and worked with customers in various continents. Upon the formation of Nokia Siemens Networks, he joined the company as Head of Network Planning in 2007. In this role, he was responsible for the network planning business around the world, and steered it through a challenging integration period while driving significant business growth.
Born in 1974, Rohit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Pune, India. He enjoys sports, traveling and cooking in his spare time. He is an Indian citizen and is based in Munich, Germany.
