Biography

Dr Amiram Mel is responsible for the Customer Experience Management business unit of Nokia Siemens Networks. Earlier, till November 2011, he was the head of Business Solutions at Nokia Siemens Networks. In his current role, Dr. Mel is responsible for handling the R&D, roadmaps, quality, strategy, and technological competitiveness of the overall business unit.

Before joining Nokia Siemens Networks, Dr. Mel was the Chief Executive Officer of Logic Industries Ltd. Prior to Logic; he was the Group President, North America for Amdocs Management Limited, which is a global leader of telecom billing systems with annual revenue of $1.6B. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Crystal Systems Solutions from 1996 to 1999 and led the company through an IPO at the NASDAQ stock exchange.

Amiram Mel was born on 25 September, 1948 in Israel. He holds a Ph.D in Decision Sciences from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and was an associate professor at the School of Business Administration at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is married with two children and lives in the United Kingdom. In his spare time, Dr. Mel likes to read and visit remote places.
