Nokia Siemens Networks’ LTE SON offering is based on a hybrid concept of both centralized and localized SON mechanisms that provide operators with fast, reliable, accurate and scalable automation features. Operators will benefit from faster time-to-market with operations relieved from error-prone and time-consuming manual processes.

First LTE features of the Nokia Siemens Networks SON suite, which also supports GSM and WCDMA networks, are already available in the market for commercial use.

SON introduces features to automate and optimize key mobile network functions.

*The Nokia Siemens Networks SON suite is a comprehensive hybrid offering that covers the operational scope of a centralized, distributed and localized self organizing network. The LTE offering as part of the SON suite comprises SON Plug and Play, which provides secure automated integration of base stations into the network, Automated Neighbor Relations (ANR) and the first phase of Self-Healing SON for LTE, to be complemented at a later stage by features like mobility robustness, load balancing, power saving and multitasking SON.
