Softbank Mobile subscribers look beyond 3G

Operator ties up with Nokia Siemens Networks’ HSPA+ for evolved mobile data services delivery 

Softbank Mobile subscribers are gearing up for the next phase of mobile broadband. The operator will deploy an HSPA+(DC-HSDPA)* solution over its existing network in the 1.5 GHz band. Softbank Mobile has tied up with Nokia Siemens Networks for its cost effective and future proof mobile data services proposition.

Having already achieved 60 percent reduction in power consumption and 40 percent savings in site rentals with Nokia Siemens Networks’ Flexi Base Station, Softbank Mobile will be able to extend the environment and operational efficiency benefits to offer the most economical proposition in the market.
