Ashish Chowdhary appointed global head of managed services, Nokia Siemens Networks
Nokia Siemens Networks today announced that Ashish Chowdhary, previously head of the India and Nepal subregion of Nokia Siemens Networks, has been appointed to lead the global managed services business unit. Chowdhary will be based in India, and will report to Rajeev Suri, global head of Services. The appointment of Chowdhary is designed to accelerate the growth of Nokia Siemens Networks in this key focus area, and will build on the success of the company in the Indian market and around the world in managed services.

Nokia Siemens Networks enters into significant partnership with IBM that includes transfer of Research and Development Center activities in Munich and Berlin, Germany
On September 28, 2007, Nokia Siemens Networks and IBM (NYSE:IBM) signed an agreement including the transfer of specific parts of Research and Development Center activities for four Business Lines of the Service Core and Applications Business Unit to a subsidiary of IBM. Upon closing of this transaction, expected to take place by the beginning of December 2007, up to 235 employees located in Munich and Berlin will become part of the IBM organization. Through this agreement Nokia Siemens Networks will leverage IBM´s global network and experience as one of the world's foremost R&D organizations, investing more than $6 billion in 2006 and with 14 years of patent leadership.

Nokia Siemens Networks signs EUR 61.5 million 3G network expansion contract with Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom
Chunghwa Telecom, the largest telecommunication operator in Taiwan, has awarded a 3G network expansion and services contract to Nokia Siemens Networks that will enable the operator to provide enhanced, industry-leading 3G and HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) services to subscribers and reduce associated operational costs. The contract deepens the existing cooperation between Nokia Siemens Networks and Chunghwa Telecom.

Nokia Siemens Networks intends to sign a strategic partnership with Devoteam Group including a transfer of approximately 160 people from Herentals, Belgium
Today, Nokia Siemens Networks has expressed its intention to conclude an asset sale and transfer agreement with Devoteam Group for its Development Center in Herentals, Belgium The anticipated signing is expected to take place by the end of September. As part of the deal, all development activities in Herentals with the exception of Open Transport Network (OTN) will be transferred to Devoteam Group. Approximately 160 transferred employees are planned to become fully integrated into the operations of Devoteam Group.
