Supporting completely new business models
To launch and grow their business in face of ever more intense competition and technological complexity, Blyk needed a brand new approach to their investment.
First and foremost, they were looking for full flexibility in core network operations to deliver innovative new advertising-funded mobile services. They also wanted to avoid infrastructure investments. To meet this challenge and provide these benefits, Nokia Siemens Networks is supplying, building and hosting the entire operation of Blyk’s core network. As Kai Friman, Head of Member Operations at Blyk explains, “Blyk is bringing something completely different to the world of mobile communications, something that hasn’t been done before. “That’s why getting it right is absolutely crucial. We have full confidence in Nokia Siemens Networks’ ability to provide a fully hosted solution for Blyk and its unique way of doing business.” Blyk’s commercial launch is scheduled for summer 2007.
