We support 60 customers in achieving their objectives and driving their success in 48 countries, Customers include Bharti, Etisalat, MTN, Orascom, Qtel and Vodacom amongst others.

Where we operate

Our operations in Africa are divided between two sub-regions.

Sub region-West: Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameron, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea Republic, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, São Tomé and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo and Tunisia

Sub region-South: Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Comoros Islands, Congo, DRC, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mayotte, Mozambique, Namibia, Réunion, Rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

How we deliver to our customers

Nokia Siemens Network has a holistic approach to delivering solutions and services.  We have developed a services strategy where multi-national expertise gathering is complemented with local talent development. In addition to pure technology, we support our customers in their objectives through the use of world-class service, coupled with excellent business understanding and flexibility.

We also have a number of partnerships in Africa with leading players in the industry and have strong relationships with selected regional business partners, research institutes and funding organizations.

Examples of the programs in which we participate:

  • We allocated R1 million towards supporting the Dinaledi Schools Adoption Program, an initiative by the South African government to boost mathematics, science and technology education.
  • ‘ImfundoYami / ImfundoYethu’ is run in partnership with MXit, a social networking platform, to provide South African students with free access to more than 10,500 supplementary math materials and interactive mathematical resources.
  • We work with Nokia, Pearson Foundation and the Forum for African Women Educationalists to support Tanzania’s “BridgeIT” program, which allows remote schools and communities to access a vast range of educational video content to enhance children’s learning experience
